Things to Ponder

A couple of years ago, I received a Power Point presentation from a friend in Italy. I laughed so hard that I had to translate the slides in Italian so I could share them with friends.

Today, as I was looking through some e-mails, I found something very similar to what I sent out and decided to share it with you. I hope it will lighten your day!

Have you ever wondered.... 

- Why women can't put on mascara with their mouth closed?

- Why don't you ever see the headline "Psychic Wins Lottery"?

- Why is "abbreviated" such a long word?

- Why is it that doctors call what they do "practice"?

- Why is it that to shut down the computer, you have to click on "Start"?

- Why is lemon juice made with artificial flavor, and dish-washing liquid made with real lemons?

- Why is the man who invests all your money called a broker?

- Why is the time of day with the slowest traffic called rush hour?

- Why are they called apart-ments when they are all stuck together?





To those of you who have yet to hear this trio.... they are absolutely amazing! My daughter introduced them to  me (thanks to YouTube) and I was blown away by their performance.

Of course, I am kind of partial, since they are Italian, just like me :)
