The Secret to Success

After applying to a multitude of jobs and not getting considered for even one (over the course of months), I started to feel kind of depressed.

What am I doing wrong? I used to land new jobs even when I was not looking for them; however, now I don't seem to interest anyone, in spite of the fact that my skills have improved in quantity and quality.

I understand I am not as young as I was back then and I realize that age is a consideration (in spite of the disclaimer that they don't discriminate based on ... age). Still, I think most people are like wine, they get better with age.

So, I started writing again (I have nothing better to do than to clean the house, apply for jobs, and ... write).

Since all things happen for a reason, who knows, maybe my lack of luck in landing a job is only so that a good thing falls apart for something better: stretch my mind, increase my abilities, broaden my horizons and ... make a living off my writings.

It is with a new determination today that I look at this situation as a challenge and an opportunity to truly spread my wings.

To support my new direction in life, here is a quote by John C. Maxwell:

"You will never change your life until you change something you do daily. The secret of your success is found in your daily routine."

To all of you out there who are struggling with an issue, take heed to those words and act upon them.

Good things will come to pass!
