To My Daughter

As I was searching for something inspirational to use on the post, I read a quote and, thinking of my daughter, I realized that this quote fits her perfectly.

So, it is to my daugther that I dedicate the post today.

Work hard at what you like to do and try to overcome all obstacles
She works hard at all things she is given to do and does not stop when glitches happen (she calmly - even if only outwardly, as her professor said - starts over and gets things completed)

Laugh at your mistakes and praise yourself for learning from them
She tries to find humor in all things

Pick some flowers and appreciate the beauty of nature
She picks flowers with her camera and creates beautiful images that make everyone appreciate the beauty of nature

Say hello to strangers and enjoy the people you know
She is an example of making people feel welcome and makes time for her friends

Don't be afraid to show your emotions, laughing and crying make you feel better
The only emotion she does not show is anger. She is not afraid to laugh with those who laugh and mourn with those who mourn

Love your friends and family with your entire being; they are the most important part of your life
She makes sacrifices for her friends and family. There is no greater love than to set your life aside to love and help others.

Feel the calmness on a quiet sunny day
She knows how to sit and watch and enjoy the day for what it is

Find a rainbow and live your world of dreams; always remember life is better than it seems
She has found her rainbow in photography and makes everyone's life a dream

(Quote taken from Deep Thoughts)

Yesterday, at Honor's Night, I proudly watched her get up and receive the awards she earned as I quietly remembered the times since her birth. She was a wonderful baby and grew up to be a wonderful young woman.

I am so very proud of her!
