Changing Directions

As I was reading quotes from The Quote Garden, the following one caught my attention:

Remember, if you’re headed in the wrong direction, God allows U-turns!  ~Allison Gappa Bottke

One day, my friend Clarice and I were traveling back home from a city in the vicinity of Atlanta and I took a wrong turn. I was totally lost, so I called my friend Jennifer and asked her to guide me back home.
With her help, I was able to make it back safely to our home town.

As Jennifer was there for me, our Heavenly Father is there for each and everyone of us.

Is this not a marvelous thought? We are not perfect; we all make mistakes (I think it is part of being human). I find it of great comfort to know that if I have made a choice that was not the best, I can always turn around and start over.

What is important, is to recognize we are going in the wrong direction and to have the courage to turn around.

If we lack courage, we can kneel in prayer and ask for it. He has a never ending supply of courage, strength, humility, forgiveness, and charity, He is willing to impart to each and everyone of us.

It is much faster, and easier, to turn around as soon as we realize we took the wrong turn than miles down the road.

Have a great day everyone and remember, on the road that leads us back Home, U-Turns are not only always allowed, but suggested as well :)
