Desire for Success

Today, I was surfing the net when I stumbled upon a site I found very interesting: 911 Writers Block.
As an amateur writer, I am sure I will find this site quite interesting and helpful.

However, I found this quote even more helpful:

"In order to succeed, your desire for success should be greater than your fear of failure." -- Bill Cosby

I am afraid of failing as a writer; however, if I want to have a chance, I have to overcome my fear and let my desire for success be greater.

As I think about this quote, I realize that this is true for everything that goes on in life.

How great is your desire for success? Remember that....

One cannot receive a promotion on the job, if, for fear of failure, he/she does not put forth extra effort and ingenuity.

One cannot have a relationship with others, if, for fear of failure, he/she does not open the heart to new possibilities.

One cannot reach for the stars, if, for fear of failure, never leaves the ground.

So... let us leave fear behind and let us cultivate our desire for success that we might reach our goal.

If we fall, we can get back up and find a new way of going about our quest for success.
