I was talking to my daughter this morning on how glad I was to get the scriptures daily via e-mail. I was hoping she would get on with the program as well and read with me.
Her reply was that she preferred the actual physical, in her hand, scriptures because she could color code them and make notes. She then proceeded to show me her very colorful scriptures and she began to tell me of the things she learned during Institute classes.
Doing so, she came across a scripture that had a musical note by it. She could not remember the hymn, and neither could I, so we googled the words (the only downside to paper scriptures... you cannot ctrl F or Google them) and came across the perfect thougth for the day "My Kindness Shall not Depart from Thee."
These are words the Savior tells us:
"For the mountains shall depart, And the hills shall be removed, And the valleys shall be lost beneath the sea, But know, my child, My kindness shall not depart from thee!'
Let this thought be of comfort and cheer to any of us who try to make it one day at a time.
He loves us, He cares for us, He helps us, and His kindness shall not depart from us.
