Something to Think about

I love receiving quotes from Audri and Jim Lanford.
This quote from Napoleon Hill was in my mailbox a couple of days ago:

"Every problem or difficulty you face contains the seed of an
equal or greater advantage or benefit."

I had to read this one a couple of times and then I had to stop and think for a moment.

Have I ever thought of problems or difficulties as carriers of something good? Have there been instances in my life when a negative situation brought me to make a positive change that would have otherwise not occurred?

It took some thinking, but I was able to come up with the answers!

No, I never thought of them in that light, although I have realized that those negative things could have been worse or prevented me from being in a worse situation.

For example, I was once in an auto accident. No passengers were hurt but the car was damaged extensively. Unbeknown to me, a couple of miles away, a few minutes after my accident another accident occurred and that one had injuries. If I had not been stopped by my accident, I would have been on the other road at the time the major one happened.

If that example shows I was spared a worse scenario, my divorce is the exact example spoken of in the quote. Because of my divorce, and subsequent events, I picked up writing.

Am I a great writer? Not really, but I am learning and getting better with each article I write.
Am I going to become rich from my writing? Not anytime soon; however, I do have some income, even if it only buys a couple of gallons of milk a month.

Bottom line, the quote does have its merits and I challenge all of us to look at our problems or difficulties and find those seeds we can sow and nurture to full blown advantages and  benefits!

By the way...if you are enjoying these quotes, subscribe to Audri and Jim's page and you can receive them directly in your mailbox!

Have a fantastic week!
